Please read the entire set of documents. We’d also ask that you read them thoroughly.  It is difficult to get the full picture in such a diverse list, particular given the volume of traffic it generates. At least one contributor to the discussion noted that they had been around for a year yet still did not feel like they understood what was really going on.

You may disagree with some of our interpretations. That is to be expected. Please tell us about it if you find something you believe to be completely off base. This is how we improve our interpretations. However, please also keep in mind the following: First, it is kind of like when you hear your voice on tape ("I don't sound like that, do I?!") or see yourself on video or in a photograph.  Second, it can be hard to get a good grasp of something that you are immersed in. It is like the old saying, "we don't know who discovered water, but we're pretty sure it wasn't the fish." Sometimes an external perspective provides some utility in this regard. Finally, please keep in mind that not all findings will apply to all members. When we attempt to characterize the community, we are doing so in the broadest terms.
