The Structural Policy Analysis Division I

·         Participated in a year-long research project on productivity growth and firm dynamics, using micro and industry data for ten OECD countries for the Working Party 1 Committee. Studied how the firm dynamics (entry and exit of firms) and firms’ productivity growth are influenced by the labour- and product market regulations. Published the main empirical findings as an OECD Economics Department Working Paper.

·         Drafted reports and articles.

The Country Studies Division I, USA/Iceland desk

  • Co-authored a special chapter on health issues in the United States to be included in the OECD Economic Survey of the United States. Studied the US health care system and made policy recommendations to be discussed at the Economic Development Review Committee (EDRC). Co-authored the 2002 OECD Economic Survey of the United States with with Hannes Suppanz, Michael Kiley, Peter Jarret and Elizabeth.
